Body Painting – Artistic Body Art

Body painting is the temporary application of products designed for use on skin. A project may cover a small area, the face and décolletage, or form a complete painted look. I develop each design for a specific purpose, such as a photo shoot, performance, show, themed event, advertising campaign or personal artistic project. Colours and techniques are chosen to suit the lighting, costume, set design, available time and the way the work will be presented – live, on stage, in photographs or on film.

1. We discuss the idea, purpose, date, location and the area of the body to be painted. 2. We agree on references, colours, costume, props and any collaboration with a photographer or event organiser. 3. I estimate the working time. A detailed full-body design may take several hours. 4. Before painting, the skin should be clean, healthy and free from irritation. Preparation details are agreed individually. 5. After the project, I provide guidance on gently removing the paint and caring for the skin.

Photo shoots and music videos – fantasy, beauty, UV, historical and conceptual styling. Events and shows – live painting, brand presentations, promotional activities and themed events. Theatre and stage – character development, costume enhancement and designs intended to be seen in movement and stage lighting. Advertising and fashion – bespoke visual identity, campaigns, product shoots and shows. Personal projects – an artistic transformation, gift, portfolio shoot or original creative idea.
