UV painting means face and body painting with fluorescent (neon) paints that glow brightly under UV light. At a party it usually works like quick face painting: every guest gets their own neon design in a few minutes.
It is made for neon parties, corporate events, club nights and any evening event. The full effect shows under UV light (blacklight). For photo shoots and the stage I also do full UV body painting.
At the party I set up a painting station with neon paints in a spot agreed with the organiser – ideally near the UV-lit area, so guests see the effect straight away.
Guests come up one by one, and painting one face takes a few minutes. The design can be picked from ready-made ideas or matched to the theme of the event: company colours, the party theme or the style of music.
In normal light the design looks colourful but muted. Under a UV lamp the fluorescent paints start to glow – and that is when the best party photos are taken.
UV painting also works well at other events:
Quick designs for event guests – neon parties, corporate events, club nights and events with many people to paint.
More artistic, showpiece work – a model, a photo shoot, a stage performance, a campaign, or the centrepiece of an event.
Fluorescent paints react to UV radiation – under the right light their colours become exceptionally intense and produce a distinctive neon effect.
In normal light the design stays visible, but the full fluorescent effect only appears under a UV (blacklight) lamp – which is why UV painting works best at events with proper UV lighting.
I use fluorescent paints intended for skin contact and follow the same hygiene and safety rules as standard face and body painting. I don't paint irritated, damaged or otherwise affected skin.
The painting is done personally by Żaklina Małolepsza, a makeup artist and stylist who has worked in face and body painting since 2007, with experience at photo shoots, on stage, in theatres, at shows and events. About me
By default, UV lighting is the event organiser's responsibility – it's usually provided by a DJ, sound company or technical crew. If you'd like me to arrange UV lighting as well, mention it in your enquiry – that can be arranged individually.
For simple UV designs, usually around 8–10 people per hour, and up to about 15 for very simple designs. More elaborate fluorescent designs take longer – the exact pace is confirmed individually, depending on scope.
The design is visible under normal light as well, but the full glowing effect only appears under UV light. Without UV lighting, the design looks colourful but muted.
Yes. UV face painting can be booked on its own, without full body painting – it's a faster, more accessible option for a larger number of event guests.
It depends on the scope of the project – from single accents on the body to a full artistic piece. Time and scope are agreed individually after we discuss the shoot or event.
I mostly work in Wrocław. By prior arrangement I can also travel to other towns, including Oława, Brzeg, Opole, Legnica and Lubin.
UV face painting costs PLN 250 per hour, and more elaborate UV body painting is priced according to the scope of the project. Current rates are on the price list.
If you'd also like UV lighting, an installation, or an unusually large production, that scope is quoted individually together with the rest of the event.
Tell me about your event and I'll prepare a quote matched to the scope – from UV face painting alone to a full, artistic UV body-painting production.
