Phoenix Painting in UV
Model Preparation:
The model was prepared for bodypainting – her hair tied up, with exposed skin on the shoulders, chest, and face, allowing the artist to work freely.
Special UV paints were used – safe for skin and glowing under ultraviolet light.
Creating the Contours and Base Design:
The artist began by sketching the general shapes of flames and the phoenix silhouette directly onto the model’s body. Intense colors were applied: orange, red, yellow, and violet.
The brush lines and strokes convey the movement and fiery nature of the mythical bird – resembling tongues of fire wrapping around the body.
Layering and Enhancing UV Effects:
Subsequent layers of paint enhanced the depth and contrast of the design – creating a chiaroscuro effect that added dimension.
Under UV lighting, the fluorescent paints created a spectacular, neon glow. The model’s face was symmetrically painted, giving her the look of a fantastical being.
Final Effect:
The entire composition resembles a phoenix rising from flames – the colors and design emphasize power, rebirth, and mysticism of the legendary creature.
The final photos were taken under UV light, revealing the full brilliance of fluorescent bodypainting. The model appears to be a living work of light and art.
