Phoenix UV Painting
Model preparation:
The model was prepared for bodypainting – hair tied back and skin exposed on the shoulders, décolletage, and face, allowing the artist full freedom of work.
Special UV paints were used, which are safe for the skin and glow under ultraviolet light.
Creating contours and base design:
The artist begins by sketching the general shapes of flames and the phoenix silhouette directly on the model’s body. Intense colours are used: orange, red, yellow, and violet.
The brush lines and movements convey the dynamism and fiery nature of the mythical bird – resembling tongues of fire wrapping around the body.
Layering and enhancing UV effects:
Further layers of paint are applied to enhance depth and contrast – a chiaroscuro effect adds dimensionality.
UV paints, visible under special lighting, create a spectacular neon effect. The model’s face is painted symmetrically, giving her the appearance of a fantastical being.
Final effect:
The composition resembles a phoenix emerging from fire – the colour palette and design emphasise strength, rebirth, and mysticism.
Final photos are taken under UV light, achieving the full fluorescent bodypainting effect. The model appears as if she herself were a source of light, her body a living work of art.
